As the Coca-Cola IPTL 2015 settled into day 3 in Delhi, the OUE Singapore Slammers took the court for the first match of the day all guns blazing. With the whole team in fantastic form this IPTL season, coming on the heal of a win yesterday too, the Slammers finished off the match 24-22 to win it in India, before the league makes way to its next destination in Dubai, before a finale in Singapore on 20th December’15.

Match Summary:

In an unexpected match-up, Carlos Moya lost his opening round legends singles game against Thomas Enqvist, giving the visitors an opening set advantage with a 6-2 win
The mixed doubles pair of Pliskova/Brown helped the Slammers even out the score, winning their set 6-4 against Kirsten Flipkens/Paes, Flipkens stepping in for the Japan Warriors today with two of their women’s players, Kurumi Nara and Mirjana Lucic-Baroni unwell today, and hence off the bench.
In-form Belinda Bencic had a superb set against Kirsten Flipkens, winning it 6-1 in 19 short minutes to give the Slammers a 2-set lead
A solid performance by Paes/Kohlschreiber in the men’s doubles helped the Warriors even out the match for the Warriors, defeating Melo/Kyrgios 6-4 to win it for the visitors
in a match-up that went down the wire, into the shootout, it was the men’s singles that capped it in favour of the Singapore Slammers, with a power-packed performance by Nick Krygios against Philipp Kohlschreiber, winning it 6-5 in the shoot-out
