College MatchDay Tennis News

The USTA announced that College MatchDay, the nationwide series spotlighting college tennis, will return to highlight five marquee team matches featuring some of the top men’s and women’s college tennis programs in the country over the next month.

The 2016 College MatchDay series kicked off March 17 when the No. 14 Texas A&M women visited No. 7 and defending NCAA champion Vanderbilt in Nashville at 5 p.m. ET.

The College MatchDay series began in 2013 as a way to promote college tennis through enhanced on-site marketing and digital network exposure. The series returns this year as the USTA continues to help support the digital network delivery and live, on-campus experience of college tennis team matches.

“The USTA is once again thrilled to help promote college tennis by supporting ‘College MatchDay,'” said USTA Director of Collegiate Tennis Virgil Christian. “It’s incredibly exciting to see more and more universities delivering their matches through digital networks. We’re committed to ensuring that trend continues and that the popularity of college tennis keeps growing.”
