Fifth seed Michael Mmoh of the United States and unseeded Lucas Gomez will decide the singles title of the 2015 Texas Tamale Company Houston Cup on Sunday after winning semifinal matches on Saturday at the George R. Brown Tennis Center on the campus of Rice University on Saturday.
Mmoh eliminated third seed Deiton Baughman of the United States, winning the opening set 6-4 and holding a 4-2 lead in the second before Baughman retired. Gomez ended the run of qualifier Rishab Agarwal of India, 6-2, 7-6(3).
Singles play wraps up on Sunday morning when Mmoh and Gomez meet to decide the singles crown at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
