Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) will hold its International Tennis Symposium in February at Van der Meer Shipyard Racquet Club and the Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island in South Carolina.

The PTR International Tennis Symposium attracts hundreds of tennis teachers and coaches from around the world.  More than 50 countries will be represented at the Parade of Nations Opening Ceremony on February 17.

The Symposium boasts more than 40 tennis industry experts who will conduct classroom and on court presentations February 17-20.  Subject matter ranges from tennis business to teaching tactics and techniques.  Among the 2016 experts scheduled to speak are:  Grand Slam Champion Mary Pierce, Argentinian tour coach Leo Alonso, Australian Open analyst Craig O’Shannessy, Tennis Australia High Performance Coach Emma Doyle, Marcin Bieniek of the Polish Tennis Federation, Human Performance Institute co-founders Drs. Jim Loehr  and Jack Groppel, and Kim Clijsters’ former coach Carl Maes.

The annual event also includes a tournament beginning February 16, a Tennis Trade Show on February 18, as well as professional development courses held prior to and immediately following the Symposium.

International Tennis Hall of Famer, Billie Jean King will be inducted to the PTR Hall of Fame at the organization’s awards banquet on February 17.  For complete information and registration, visit http://www.ptrtennis.org/events/ptr-week
