Tennis Europe has announced an extension to its partnership agreement with leading wearable sports technology and training computers manufacturer Polar, which recognizes the pioneering Finnish company as the ‘Official Training Computer Partner’ of the European Tennis Federation.

Under the terms of the agreement, Polar will be also known as the ‘Recommended Training Computer of the Tennis Europe Junior Tour’ and will also be the presenting partner of the Tennis Europe Junior Tour Player of the Year Awards, which recognize Europe’s best-performing 14 and 16 & Under players.

Polar will once again be the presenting partner of the European Coaches Conference, which will bring together leading coaches and technical directors from Tennis Europe’s 50 member nations in Belgium in late 2016.

Furthermore, Polar becomes the main official partner of TennisCoachEd.com, Tennis Europe’s new initiative aimed primarily at providing opportunities and information for the European tennis coaching community.

Tennis Europe Chief Executive Officer Olli Mäenpää said; “Polar is one of our longest-standing partners and we are very happy to be able to continue to strengthen our ties. With tennis training and technology becoming ever more interlinked, Polar’s innovative range of products offers a host of solutions to take fitness training to the next level. We are delighted to be able to open the door to an increasingly receptive tennis market and hope to continue working together with this world leading brand for many years to come.”

Tennis Europe and Polar have been enjoying a fruitful cooperation since 2008. The current agreement commences immediately and will continue until December 31st 2016.
