dreams of a possible No. 1 ranking are not a part of his thinking.
Federer Likes His New Racquet
Roger Federer says he is pleased with his new,

National Playoffs To Be Held Again This Year
The USTA announced
that the US Open National Playoffs will be held for the fifth season
this year, expanding the footprint of the US Open to cities nationwide
by providing the opportunity for all players 14 years of age and older
to earn a berth into the US Open. The US Open National Playoffs include
both men’s and women’s singles, as well as mixed doubles.
