Tennis Channel
will cover the 2008 Tennis Masters Cup doubles
championships – the prestigious season-ending
competition in men’s professional tennis – featuring the
world’s top eight doubles teams, including American twin
brothers Bob and Mike Bryan, as they attempt to make
history with a fourth-consecutive No. 1 year-end
ranking. Nearly 30 live and same-day hours are planned
from Asia’s largest tennis facility, the Qi Zhong
stadium in Shanghai, Monday-Sunday, Nov. 9-16.

The current No. 1-ranked doubles team, the Bryans, are a
tournament away from ending their fourth-consecutive
year as ATP’s top team, a feat that has yet to be
accomplished in the history of the game. Unlike the
men’s singles year-end championships which cannot
disrupt Rafael Nadal from finishing 2008 with the year’s
top ranking, the men’s doubles ranking can be affected
by the outcome of the 2008 Masters Cup Championship.
With second-ranked doubles team of Daniel Nestor and
Nenad Zimonjic only 63 points behind the Bryans, their
fourth-straight No.1 is anything but certain.

Tennis Channel will carry every point of the competition
from the celebrated Qi Zhong stadium in Shanghai.
Boasting a center court capacity of 15,000 and
retractable “lotus flower” roof for all-weather play,
the largest tennis facility in Asia offers a
breathtaking backdrop to the season-ending tournament.
