2012 AFP -
World number two Petra Kvitova will lead holders Czech Republic in the Fed Cup first round tie against Germany in Stuttgart on February 4-5.

Team captain Petr Pala also named world number 46 Iveta Benesova, Barbora Zahlavova-Strycova (49) and Lucie Hradecka (51) for the tie.

"I saw them all, I talked to them all, and I decided according to their current form," the CTK news agency quoted Pala as saying at the Australian Open, where both Kvitova and Benesova have reached the fourth round.

The Czechs beat Russia 3-2 in Moscow last November to win their first Fed Cup trophy since their country split with Slovakia in 1993.
