Nadal Accuses ATP of Not Caring About Players’ Health
Whether
or not Rafael Nadal’s uncharacteristically feisty mood was down to
losing a clay-court final to somebody other than Novak Djokovic or Roger
Federer for the first time in his career, only he will know. But the
seven times French Open champion and former world no.1 vented his ire on
the ATP World Tour for what he perceives to be: ‘a lack of care about
players’ health.’
Azarenka Building Her Confidence For Upcoming Tennis Events
Victoria
Azarenka suffered much criticism on her route to retaining the
Australian Open title last month. So the world no.1 has decided to
indulge in a little self-congratulations as she sets out on her mission
to maintain top spot in Doha, Qatar with both Serena Williams and Maria
Sharapova threatening her position.
Roddick And Stephens Top WTT Marquee Player Draft
Andy
Roddick is returning to the tennis courts this summer.
The
former world number one was the top pick in the World TeamTennis Marquee
Draft. Roddick, who first started with WTT in 2000, will play for the
Springfield Lasers. This will be Roddick's 7th WTT season and his first
since 2010.
Nadal Against 25-Second
Rule
Rafael
Nadal has come out against the ATP’s new enforcement of the 25 seconds
between serves rule. The Spaniard has a reputation as being one of the
slowest players on tour and while another notoriously slow player, No. 1
Novak Djokovic, has accepted the rule, Nadal has not.
