Toni Nadal Condemns Enforcement of Time Violations

Toni Nadal, the uncle and coach of Rafael, has never been shy about offering his opinions, just like his nephew these days.

Like Rafael, Toni Nadal does not agree with the ATP’s enforcement of the 25 second time violation rule, which was approved by the ATP Players Council. “It seems to me to be fatal,” Toni said.

Novak Djokovic has given strong praise to ATP negotiators after the organization struck a deal which will revolutionize the chaotic US Open schedule as well as offer a prize packet of $50 million by 2017.




Murray Is A Miami Heat Basketball Fan

Andy Murray is taking advantage of being given the latest possible start in Miami’s Sony Open. The US Open champion, seeded second behind world no.1 Novak Djokovic, will not play his initial match until tomorrow (Saturday). So tonight the Scot will indulge his new-found passion for basketball and use his season ticket at the American Airlines Arena to watch the Miami Heat, as they face the Detroit Pistons and look for a 25th consecutive victory in the NBA.


USTA Awards Multicultural Excellence Program Grants

The USTA announced that it has awarded $75,000 in Multicultural Excellence Tennis Grants to 10 community tennis organizations across the country. These organizations will each receive a $7,500 grant towards their competitive junior development programs that train youngsters who are aspiring to achieve national and/or international rankings.

The USPTA is seeking a Director of Marketing who will play an important role in expanding the organization’s brand identity.  They will seek opportunities for endorsements and ad sales.
