Allaster Likes Where Tennis Is Headed

WTA Chairman and CEO Stacey Allaster spoke to the media at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart this weekand said the importance of tennis is increasing all the time.

“In the Forbes list of the highest paid female athletes, seven of the Top 10 are tennis players,” she said. “My goal is 10 out of 10."

Andy Murray will get a chance to face his coach Ivan Lendl in an exhibition match to be held on the fringes of the pre-Wimbledon tune-up at Queen's Club, London. Lendl, 53, knows a thing or two about the game with his eight Grand Slam titles, though he never managed to achieve his Wimbledon dream.
