Nadal Surprised Federer and Himself In Rome

As Rafael Nadal heads to Roland Garros this week aiming for an Open-era eighth title, his total destruction of Roger Federer in just 68 minutes to win the Internazionale BNL d’Italia surprised even the man himself.

Nadal On Fire But Humble

After winning his sixth title in past three and half months when he overwhelmed Roger Federer in the final of Rome, Rafael Nadal will go to Paris with a head of steam as he seeks his record eighth crown. But while the humble Spaniard realizes that his level is very high, he is not taking another title run for granted.

Del Potro Becomes Doubtful For Paris

Juan Martin del Potro has not given up hope of contesting the French Open even though the world no.7 is currently back home in Argentina in a bid to overcome the respiratory problems that have been affecting him for the last couple of weeks.

Murray Expected To Make Paris Decision By Wednesday

Andy Murray is due to make the call at mid-week as to whether his painful back will allow him to be fit for the French Open. The clay-court major starts on Sunday, but could well be going ahead without the world No. 2 Scot.

Djokovic Was Serving For The Match In Two And Loses To Berdych In Three

Novak Djokovic will live and learn from the three-set loss which bounced him out in the quarter-finals of Rome to Tomas Berdych as the Czech won only his second match in their series from 15 attempts.
