Sharapova Rehabbing In Stockholm

Maria Sharapova is not rushing her rehab program after the summer's shoulder injury, with the former No. 1 taking the chance to combine quality time with ATP love interest Grigor Dimitrov with rehab on her injury. This week, the pair are in Stockholm, where Dimitrov is finding his feet with newly appointed coach Roger Rasheed.

 

 

New Directors Appointed to International Tennis Hall of Fame

The newly elected board members are: USTA First Vice President Katrina M. Adams, who won 21 doubles titles on the WTA Tour; Vijay Amritraj, a former world top-20 player and current lead anchor for ESPN Star Sports; David Bell, Chairman Emeritus of the Interpublic Group, Laurie Erlandson, a CPA formerly with Arthur Andersen & Co and now an active community leader; David B. Ford, President of DBF Associates and Senior Advisor to Gatemore Capital Management, LLC; David I. Goulden, President and COO of EMC® Corporation; Hall of Famer Charlie Pasarell, former owner of the BNP Paribas at Open at Indian Wells, who was the No.1 ranked player for the United States in 1967; Barbara van Beuren, Manager Director at Anbau Enterprises; and Stewart Wicht, President and CEO of Rolex Watch U.S.A., Inc.

 

Becker Thinks Federer Has Plenty Left For Court Action

Roger Federer’s first ever sporting hero was Boris Becker and the Swiss remembers being six years-old and crying when his idol lost in the 1988 Wimbledon final against Stefan Edberg. Throughout the last decade and a bit, the feelings have been reciprocated and Becker believes last  weekend’s decision to part company with coach Paul Annacone is a positive indication Federer is determined for more glory.

 

 

Kilderry Named Hopman Cup Tournament Director

The ITF and Tennis Australia announced that Australian former professional tennis player Paul Kilderry will be the new tournament director of the Hyundai Hopman Cup.

A Collection of Tennis Images For Sale

A professional tennis photographer has been shooting for almost 40 years at all the major and minor tennis tournaments for the wires systems, daily newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies. He has been to venues all over the world and has compiled tennis images (archives) of all the professionals and some juniors.  The images have all been preserved in a temperature-controlled environment and are color positives (slides), color and black & white negatives and contact sheets, as well as digital.
