Nadal Sees His Clay Domination Declining Slightly

Even king of clay Rafael Nadal admits that his all-conquering domination on the surface might be just slightly on the decline after struggling to win two straight matches in Rome. With his mind set on an eighth title at the Foro Italico, the Spaniard who turns 28 next month says he sometimes has to work harder for success.


Nadal To Play Murray In Rome

Rafael Nadal is finding conditions in Rome a challenge as he attempts to get his clay campaign back on course after unexpected difficulties this season.

Nadal has played over six hours in his first two rounds, and next meets Andy Murray in their first match in over two years. The Spaniard won last week's event at Madrid, but was behind a set and a break before his opponent Kei Nishikori began experiencing back problems.

Berdych Will Play Davis Cup Even Though It Is An Away Tie

Tomas Berdych will return to the champion Czech Davis Cup team for the September semi-final with France after ending his brief exile from away ties. The world number six had said earlier this season that in order to concentrate on his own ATP fortunes, he would only play home ties.

The Wilson business is structured into three business areas: Racquet Sports, Team Sports and Golf.

We are currently looking for a Racquet Sports Territory Manager in the Tampa/Clearwater, Florida region. The Territory Sales Manager manages the sales efforts and operations for a defined territory to achieve and exceed revenue targets and market share growth objectives.

Essential Responsibilities

·         Achieve the annual territory sales plan revenue and distribution objectives in the defined territory and meet the annual key product category objectives.

·         Develop, plan, and execute a strategic sales plan in selling to and managing Team Dealers, Sporting Goods Retailers, Mass Merchants and other trade channels.

·         Maximize in-person contact and sales call coverage with assigned accounts, colleges, universities, high schools, travel organizations and leagues.

·         Recruit and manage high visibility teaching pros to enhance the promotion of Wilson Racquet Sports.

·         Increase Wilson’s brand presence and image with customers and consumers through promotional activity.

·         Develop annual business plan designed to deliver account objectives of assigned accounts.

·         Aggressively seek out and develop new business partners and accounts strategically within territory.

·         Keep Regional Manager informed of trade related information on an ongoing basis.

·         Develop and maintain great working relationships with key personnel in each account.

·         Develop layouts/merchandising concepts for accounts to ensure distribution/merchandising objectives are met.

·         Complete all reports and records on a timely basis.

·         Prepare and review each account’s performance in a business review each quarter.

Required Education & Experience

·         Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent work experience may be substituted

·         2-3 years sales experience in packaged goods or related industry

·         Tennis industry selling experience preferred

Qualifications, Skills, Abilities & Competencies    

·         Demonstrated ability to sell, influence and negotiate

·         Strong oral and written communication skills required within and outside the organization

·         Excellent organizational skills, analytical ability and strategic planning

·         Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Products:  Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point

·         Knowledge of SAP is preferred

·         Extensive travel required

·         Must have reliable transportation

·         Home office environment required

·         Strong knowledge of the sport of tennis and indoor sports
