He revealed the news on Facebook: "Hey
everybody! I've got good news to share: I'm back on a tennis court!
It was a light hit, some forehands and volleys without major
movement, since I still wear the splint on my left wrist. At this
point I have to be cautious, without skipping any step during the
recovery time. As always, thanks for your messages!!"
While he gave no further details about a
comeback, organizers in Kuala Lumpur announced that he is entered in
their event from September 20, a good indication of his intended
Del Potro exchanged some light volleys and
slice backhands - a particularly troubling shot for his injured
wrist - during a 20-minute session with coach Franco Davin. Del
Potro last competed on the ATP in Dubai in February, where he had to
retire in pain in the first round.
