Tennis Europe has announced that Russia is the winner of the European Tennis Trophy for Overall Tennis Performance, which acknowledges the achievements of players and teams representing European nations during 2013.
 

 

Murray Did Not Expect To Win Australian Open

Beaten Australian Open quarterfinalist Andy Murray maintained it would have been ‘stupid’ to expect him to win the title in his first Grand Slam tournament after undergoing back surgery and insisted he was surprised to have progressed as far as the last eight.
 

 

 

Melbourne Court-Sider Is Son Of London Police Officer

The British man charged by Melbourne Police with ‘court-siding’ or sending live point details from the Australian Open to his on-line betting agency Sporting Data Limited, is the son of a serving Metropolitan Police officer in London.
 

 

Interest In Doha Hurting February Fed Cup

The WTA Premier 5 tournament in Doha, which starts Feb. 10, the day after Fed Cup weekend is already wreaking havoc on the competition.

Victoria Azarenka of Belarus has already opted out of Fed Cup, Serena Williams and Sloane Stephens of the US are considered doubtful, as is Venus Williams. The US’s Bethanie Mattek Sands has already said no to the US tie against Italy in Cleveland.

A Collection of Tennis Images For Sale

A professional tennis photographer has been shooting for almost 40 years at all the major and minor tennis tournaments for the wires systems, daily newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies. He has been to venues all over the world and has compiled tennis images (archives) of all the professionals and some juniors.  The images have all been preserved in a temperature-controlled environment and are color positives (slides), color and black & white negatives and contact sheets, as well as digital.
